would here by reporting about the preparation to get ready to serve the computer problem for
the year 2000 2nd report and the end of the report as per code section 56
The preparation to get ready to serve the computer problem for the year 2000
Reporting the progress of proceeding the preparation to get ready to serve the problem for the
year 2000
As per the previous 1st report for the preparation , the company has rushed to proceed
and check the readiness to serve the problem for the year 2000 and would hereby report the
progression and summary the readiness to serve the problem for the year 2000 as follows :-
1. Group of control equipment and machinery in production
The committees have appointed the engineer department to investigate the machinery in
all plants and get in contact with the suppliers of all machinery which using in the production in
order to learn the effect of the control equipment and machinery in production for which the
suppliers have made written report confirming that their control equipment and machinery would
not have any effect from the problem of computer for the year 2000 in the process of production
which will cause damage to the product. It would have the result of report from the control
equipment which involved with the figure of showing the year only. It could be solved by
purchasing the new control equipment to change it only.
2. The computer and the Software for the management
The Union Mosaic Industry Public Co., Ltd. has made the purchasing and installation
the computer system and software package for the use of management and administration
which using the investment budget about 20 millions in order to serve the mentioned problem
already as per the plan which the company has been prepared since the year 1997 for which
the above mentioned system has been guaranteed by the supplier and the maker that it surely
would not have any effect from the problem of the year 2000
In the part of changing the computer machines as per the plan from the old model to
new model which will not have any problem for the year 2000 has only few number which costs
only not more than 300,000 Baht.
Summary the effect result of the problem for the year 2000 against the running business
As per the plan of preparing the readiness to serve the problem for the year 2000 by
purchasing and improving the computer system of the company since 1997 up to present which
could be summarized the estimation that the company would not have any effect against the
running business of company in the part of computer system and the management system in
the company form the problem of the year 2000
In the part of external factor which will have effect against the company, the committees
have prepared the readiness to serve the year 2000 for the company which have been
summarized the effect from the external factors that it would have very slightly effect causing
less importance against the running business as follows :-
1. Problem which concerned with the connection data among the suppliers of raw
material or the major clients there is no effect because the company did not make any
connection data between the company and the external companies.
2. In the part of the effect which may caused by the suppliers of raw material who many
get the loss from the problem of the year 2000 the committees have investigated and estimated
the effect from the suppliers already that it would not have any effect against the supply of the
raw material to the company.
3. In the part of the effect which may cause by the clients or the major debtors who may
get the loss from the problem of the year 2000. The committees have investigated and
estimated the effect from the clients and the major debtors already that the clients have made
plan and prepared the readiness to serve the problem of the year 2000 already and expecting to
finish before the year 2000.
Analyzing lesson and explanation of the administration
As per the above mentioned report showing that the administrations of the company the
union mosaic industry public co., ltd. Have proceeded the work to serve the effect from the
problem of the year 2000 as per the plan which has been informed to the Stock Exchange of
Thailand for which the running business of the company of the company would not get the effect
from the mentioned problem or to get the effect in the level of importance less than 5%
comparing to the part of the shareholders of the company or has no importance sign of
expenses to be occurred.
And, the company would end the duty to report the result of preparation to get ready for
the effect of the year 2000 as per the code section 56.
