Subject : Clarification of Operation Result for the 2nd Quarter of the Year 2004

The Office of Securities and Exchange Commission, Thailand.
The Union Mosaic Industry Public Company Limited has submitted the Company's Financial
Statement for the 2nd quarter Of the year 2004( 3 months and 6 months period ) as ended June 30th ,
2004, reviewed by certified auditor including and explanation on differences of operation result.
The Company reported the net profit of 27 million Baht, a decrease of 22.6 million Baht from net
profit of 49.6 million Baht of the previous year same period , due mainly to the following matters:
1. The revenue from sales has been decreased by 25.9 million Baht or 5 percent of revenues
from the same period of the pervious year. This revenue was a result from the available
of the existing production, which can be expressed from the increase in revenue from
the first half of the year of 3.7 million Baht as compare with revenue from the first 6
months of the previous year of 1,017 million Baht to 1,020.70 million Baht of this year.
2. The selling and administrative expense has been increased by 19.9 million Baht or 32.7
percent, because production - testing expense of 19.9 million Baht for production
expansion has been included.
