Subject : Clarification of Operation Result for the 3rd Quarter of the Year 2004

The Office of Securities and Exchange Commission, Thailand.
The Union Mosaic Industry Public Company Limited has submitted the Company's Financial
Statement for the 3rd quarter Of the year 2004(3 months and 9 months period) as ended September
30th, 2004, reviewed by the certified auditor including an explanation on the differences of operation
result. The Company reported the net profit of 48 million Baht in the 3rd quarter. A decrease from the
net profit of 1,037 million Baht over the same period of the previous year, because there was profit
from Debt Restructure an amount of 982 million Baht over the same period of the previous year, with
additional details as follows:
1. The revenue from sales in the 3rd quarter is 534.9 million Baht, an increase of 4.9 million
Baht over the same period of the pervious year.
2. The selling and administrative expense is decreased by 8 million Baht or 10.2 percent
over the same period of the previous year, as the result of total quality management to
control the expenditures.
