Subject : Clarification of Operation Result of the Company for the
1St Quarter of the Year 2005

The Office of Securities and Exchange Commission, Thailand.
The Union Mosaic Industry Public Company Limited has submitted the
company's Financial Statement for the 1st quarter year 2005 as ended March
31st, 2005, reviewed by certified auditor including an explanation on the
differences of operation result. The company reported the revenue from
sales of 665.9 million Baht an increase of 28.3 percent from the same period
of the previous year of 518.9 million Baht. The net profit of 30.3 million
Baht a decrease of 23.0 million Baht from the same period of the previous
year of 53.3 million Baht, due mainly to the following matters:
1.The cost of good sold is of 578.1 million Baht, which is an increase of
42.1 percent from the same period of the previous year. And it is in
according to the proportional increase of sales and the increasing of
the price of raw materials and energy especially natural gas.
2.The selling and administrative expense is of 77.3 million Baht, which is
an increase of 17.1 percent from the same period of the previous year.
And it is from the increase of transportation expense to support the
expanding of sales.
