Subject : Clarification of Operation Result of the Company and
subsidiaries for the 2nd Quarter of the Year 2005

The Office of Securities and Exchange Commission, Thailand.
The Union Mosaic Industry Public Company Limited has submitted
the company's consolidated Financial Statement for the period of 3 months
and 6 months as ended June 30th, 2005, reviewed by certified auditor
including an explanation on the differences of operation result. The
company reported the revenue from sales in 2nd quarter of 538.7 million
Baht a decrease of 2.9 percent from the same period of the previous
year of 555.2 million Baht. The net profit of 1.4 million Baht a decrease
of 25.6 million Baht from the same period of the previous year of 27.0
million Baht, due mainly to the following matters:
1. The cost of good sold is of 449.0 million Baht, which is an
increase of 1.5 percent from the same period of the previous year.
And it is in according to the increasing of the price of raw
materials and energy especially natural gas.
2. The selling and administrative expense is of 98.7 million Baht,
which is an increase of 8.8 percent from the same period of the
previous year. It is from the result of the increase in oil price
in transportation cost.
3. The interest expense is of 15.8 million Baht, which is an increase
of 83.7 percent from the same period of the previous year. It is from
the increase of fund to support the expansion of production capacity.
