Subject : An Explain of the Company's Performance

The Office of Securities and Exchange Commission, Thailand.
Director of Security Registration Department.
We, The Union Mosaic Industry Public Company ("The Company"), have sent you
the Company's Financial Statement of the third quarter and for the period of 9 months ended
September 30th , 2003 that has been reviewed by the Certified Public Accountant, which shows
the improving performance.
We would like to make an additional explanation as follows:
1. The Company has received profit from Debt Restructuring in the third quarter for an
amount of Baht 982,905,048.20
2. The paid interest has been decreased, because of Debt Restructuring.
3. The Company's net sales have been increased by 10% compared with the same period
of the previous year, because demand of total market for this year has been increased
and the Company has been able to increase sales.
4. The Company's production cost has been decreased as compared with the same
period of last year. Since the Company has undergone cost reduction program
continuously and productivity has been increased to be competitive with the other
companies.
